The best individual professional score was a level par 72 by Willy McColl and the winning team was composed of Dennis Durnian, Brian Wood, Brian Barnett and George Parsons with a three-under-par 141. In the morning the four professionals Dennis Durnian, Donald Armour, Willy McColl and team manager Jim Lynch-gave Burford Golf Club mem- bers a demonstration and golfing clinic before leading teams of amateurs in an afternoon pro/am where they were joined by Bur- ford professionals Bill Skinner and the newly appointed Norman Allen. DUODV The 18 holes four ball better ball, with the best two scores to count, resulted in a victory for Dennis Durnian and his team of Brian Wood, Brian Barnett and George Par- sons with a three under par 141. Second were Willy McColl with Henry Willis, John Edmunds and Max Lloyd on 142 and third were Jim Lynch, Mike Morgan, Steve Stokes and Arthur Hunt on 143. The best individual pro- fessional score was the level par 72 by Willy McColl. A film show in the evening concluded the Dunhill day.
